So i was sitting around this morning with a cat toy and a cheap pair of bushnell binoculars, with day 2 of the little guy hanging on my leg and screaming every time I leave for just a second i decided to see what i could do within a few feet of my computer. I took apart the binoculars and decided to perform creative photography.

Used a spray on grip. That shit is so toxic it should be illegal, but it works. ~J |

Fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin with pigments for that acid swirl effect... |

Laminated another layer of maple (?) to firm up the flex and sanded a lot. ~J |

Big Country
I took this in the winter of 2005 on the North Shore of Oahu. Then I messed around with it in gimp. This was one of the smaller waves -- about 20 feet on the face. It is impossible to communicate the size and power of a wave in a photograph… ~J
